Job Type: Consultants/Trainers/Auditors
Location: Canada & US
The Role
Consultant would be working as a project leader assisting the Client in achieving/maintaining ISO 9001 Certification. This role requires effective communication with Clients to discuss the project objective, scope, deliverables, resources, and responsibilities, etc. The scope of the project may include gap analysis, documentation, implementation, training, internal auditing and other support services. This role may also require visiting Clients across Canada and the US.
Consultant would be directly reporting to VP Consulting Services to discuss project status, changes in project scope and customer feedback.
Key Responsibilities
- Communicate with the Client to discuss/agree the project objective(s), scope, deliverables, resources, timelines and responsibilities.
- Conduct gap analysis and establish a project plan to implement applicable requirements of ISO 9001.
- Coordinate with Client’s Representative to schedule meetings with Process Owners and other interested parties as required to establish Process Map, Policies, Procedures, Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and other documented information required for an effective implementation.
- Support the Client for effective implementation of QMS including but not limited to providing implementation training, conducting internal audit and taking corrective actions.
- Review the nonconformities and effectiveness of corrective actions.
- Establish, train and coach the team of internal auditors as required.
- Observe the external audits as required to support the Client.
- Perform other tasks within the scope of the project.
Education
- Degree or diploma in engineering, quality management or related discipline.
- ISO 9001 Lead Auditor Certification recognized by the Exemplar Global or IRCA.
Experience
- Demonstrated experience to document, implement and maintain Quality Management System (ISO 9001).
- Experience with any other management standards would be an added advantage.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
- Excellent knowledge of Guidelines for Auditing Management Systems (ISO 19011).
- Knowledge of quality tools and techniques.
- Ability to communicate effectively with professionals at all levels in the organizational hierarchy.
- Demonstrated documentation, communication, organization, interpersonal, presentation, time management, conflict resolution and team management skills.

The Role
Consultant would be working as a project leader and assisting the Client in achieving/maintaining ISO 14001 Certification. This role requires effective communication with Clients to discuss the project objective, scope, deliverables, resources, and responsibilities, etc. The scope of the project may include gap analysis, documentation, implementation, training, internal auditing and other support services. This role may also require visiting Clients across Canada and the US.
Consultant would be directly reporting to VP Consulting Services to discuss project status, changes in project scope and customer feedback.
Key Responsibilities
- Communicate with the Client to discuss/agree the project objective(s), scope, deliverables, resources, timelines and responsibilities.
- Conduct gap analysis and establish a project plan to implement applicable requirements of ISO 14001.
- Coordinate with Client’s Representative to schedule meetings with Process Owners and other interested parties as required to establish Process Map, Policies, Procedures, Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and other documented information required for an effective implementation.
- Support the Client for effective implementation of ISO 14001 including but not limited to providing implementation training, conducting internal audit and taking corrective actions.
- Review the nonconformities and effectiveness of corrective actions.
- Establish, train and coach the team of internal auditors as required.
- Observe the external audits as required to support the Client.

Education
- Degree or diploma in engineering, environmental management or related discipline.
- ISO 14001 Lead Auditor Certification recognized by the Exemplar Global or IRCA.
- Certified Energy Manager (CEM) and Certified Energy Auditor (CEM) designations would be an asset.
Experience
- Demonstrated experience to document, implement and maintain Environmental Management System (ISO 14001).
- Experience of implementing Responsible Recycling (R2) and Responsible Recycling, Reuse of Electronic Equipment (“e-Stewards”) and ISO 45001 would be an asset.
